What is Roulette?

Why 37 or 38?

The original French version of Roulette shows the numbers 0 – 37 on the Roulette wheel. The American version, however, adds another double zero slot on the wheel, which leads to the 38th slot. This does not seem to be of great important at first glance. However, having two slots for the bank significantly reduces the player’s chances of winning the game, which is also the reason why most good players try to pick casinos or online websites that offer the original French version of the game instead of the American one.

Is it really that simple?
